SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
WHAT IS THE SOCIETY OF St. VINCENT DE PAUL?
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP) is an organization dedicated to helping those in need in our community, offering resources for parishes to make a greater impact. At our parish, we offer two kinds of services: Financial Assistance and a Food Pantry. Our mission follows Jesus’ instruction to care for the poor. We remember his saying: “Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Mt 25:40)
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Our parish SSVP conference is glad to provide financial assistance to residents in our local area. Our main effort is to provide relief for rent and utilities. In 2025, our parish provided over $23,000 in support, thanks to your generosity.
The financial assistance team is made up of seven volunteer parishioners, who communicate with each client and ensure that payments are directed towards the correct end. To learn more about the financial assistance program, please contact John Dagerman, 402-493-4563,

PARISH FOOD PANTRY
Food insecurity is a very real concern for many families in the Omaha area. We are pleased to offer a small food pantry at our parish to address this need. The pantry is stocked entirely with donations, which are collected on the first weekend of each month - look for the red shopping carts in the foyer! At this time, we accept non-perishable food and toiletries.
The food pantry is not a walk-in or self-selection service. If you know of someone who could benefit from our food pantry, please have them schedule an appointment by calling the parish office, 402-493-2186.
