INTERESTED IN BECOMING CATHOLIC?
Consider joining the OCIA class, which typically begins in the fall. OCIA stands for the “Order of Christian Initiation of Adults”, and it is the common way for adults to enter the Catholic Church. Attending the class, however, is not an immediate commitment to joining the Church.

ST. JAMES/SETON SCHOOL
Our school serves students in pre-school through 8th grade, offering a high-quality Catholic education. At SJS, faith is the cornerstone of our school. All of our actions and interactions are guided by our faith. When you walk down the halls, you will see and feel the SJS difference: Students are the liturgy leaders at the school liturgies, and there are weekly visits by the parish priests. Our thorough religion curriculum ensures a solid foundation built on Catholic values.
Our students are eager to learn, and we strive to provide an environment to help all learners. We combine high academic standards with Catholic ideals to prepare our students for high school and beyond. We believe education is a joint venture between school and home and welcome a partnership with our parents.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, First American-Born Saint
"Rejoice, we say to the great nation of the United States of America. Rejoice for your glorious daughter. Be proud of her. And know how to preserve her fruitful heritage. This most beautiful figure of a holy woman presents to the world and to history the affirmation of new and authentic riches that are yours: that religious spirituality which your temporal prosperity seemed to obscure and almost make impossible. Your land too, America, is indeed worthy of receiving into its fertile ground the seed of evangelical holiness. And here is a splendid proof -among many others- of this fact."
-from the homily of Pope Paul VI at the canonization mass, September 14, 1975
