Siena/Francis House Helper

Founded in 1975, the Siena/Francis House is Nebraska’s largest shelter.  The mission of the Siena/Francis House is directed toward a concern and care of the poor following the example of the scriptures. This mission is realized in feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, and clothing the needy. This mission extends beyond merely answering physical needs to the acceptance and affirmation of the human person, the creation of an atmosphere of hospitality, and the provision of purpose and meaning in the lives of people who struggle for survival. It is also the mission of the Siena/Francis House to call the greater Omaha community to a social consciousness and to enlist help and support in the care of the homeless and the indigent.

The Siena/Francis House is independent, not affiliated with a national organization, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish or the Arch Diocese.

Annual Christmas Party

Every year during Advent our parish has a Siena Francis House Christmas party.   Parishioners take a tag(s) from the Giving Tree in the foyer to help those in true need within our parish and the residents of the Siena Francis House.  Food for the party, Hygiene products and coats are always needed as well.  Please contact  Angeli Calero for questions or to sign up as a volunteer this Advent season.
